PD 2: I’m not nocturnalΒ

Period day 2 has always been a nightmare for me. This is the day where I bleed like a slaughtered animal 😭 Because of the heavy bleeding, my uterus contracted so much, it means more and more pain!

I woke up at 2 AM with pain on my lower abdomen and lower back, I also felt nauseous. I recharged my hot water bag, hoped that the heat will help to relieve the pain. But it didn’t work. I stayed awake until 4AM. I ate a banana and took 1x200mg ibuprofen.

Around 4:30 AM, one of my neighbors fought in the hallway. This couple always fight in the hallway, screamed to each other day and night. My husband woke up and checked the door, they fought for about 20 minutes. I don’t speak Chinese, so I couldn’t call a cop. None of my neighbors ever reported them. I don’t really know how domestic abuse is being handled here.

I fell asleep around 5:30 AM. I’m not nocturnal, I need a darn night sleep! Adeno loves to make me suffer at night like this 😭

The pain was quite manageable at day time. But around 4PM,  my heavy bleeding started. The pain escalated, I had heavy cramps and back pain for hours. Ibuprofen reacted 2 hours after I took it.

I ordered vegetarian sushi for dinner.

Found out that one of the sushi had cheese on it after I ate it, I knew I will pay for it 😭😭😭

To be continued…

One More Hot Water Bag!

Another cat hot water bag! 😁

I need to replace my old cat hot water bag, so I got this one. Slightly bigger and softer.

I always have cramps and lower back pain on my period, so I need two water bag to relieve the pain. One for my lower back and one for my abdomen.

I have a big smile on my face because my pain is light today.

I love to feel the heat on my lower back and abdomen. It’s kinda distract my brain from the pain. I usually recharge the bag every 3 hours. The bag will keep warm until 5-6 hours, but it’s not hot enough for me 😬😬😬

I think I’m kinda addicted to the heat to relieve the pain. Before I use the electric bag, I used to use the one where you need to boil the water manually in a kettle. I burnt my lower back almost every month. Seriously, it left blister!

I’m glad I switched to the electric type, it’s much safer. 😊😊😊

PD1 : Just a spot?

I think I have my period. It’s just a spot. Literally a spot.

I stayed up until 3am last night, too much talking and tv 😬 I felt slight cramps (2/10), I took ibuprofen to help me sleep.

It’s 5:45 PM now, I feel no serious pain, only slight back pain (2/10) and uncomfortable feeling on my lower abdomen (2/10). No ibuprofen taken.

My Best Friend, Hot Water Bags

Remember my best friends?

The gray monster leaked last month, made me and my bed wet in the middle of the night πŸ˜†

The cute kitty worked so hard to make me warm, it turns into this

As you can see, its almost explode itself πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

I guess both water bag was made from cheap materials, its made in China so what do you expect, lol. Kidding… some Chinese products have good qualities. For these water bag particularly, my husband bought it at a gift shop nearby our apartment and it was buy one get one thing, so now you know why 😬😬😬

I decided to buy a new bag to replace them from Taobao. I bought a different variety with better quality.

A hot water bag with belt to hold it so I don’t have to do the hard work!

This set consists of a belt, an electric hot water bag, and a charger. The bag has thermometer on it, so you know how hot it could go. Mine could go until 74.8 degrees celcius. The charger will shut it self after hit the maximum temperature.

I have been using it for a week now. It works great!  I don’t have to hold the bag anymore, I just need to strapping it on my waist and walah! I feel warm!

I haven’t try how powerful it is to relief my period pain, so we will see soon…

I’m pretty sure that hot water bag or hot pad is every  Adenomyosis/Endometriosis ladies’ best friend. It helps to relief the pain and the warmth give us comfort. How about you? What’s your best friend looks like? 😊😊😊

PAIN CHECKER

NO pain.

I felt nauseous for hours after I drank a cup of coconut milk. Okay, no more coconut milk for me…

I should have got my period yesterday (22 days cycle like last month), so my cycle is back to 23 days if I got my period today or 24 days cycle if I got it tomorrow. Which will be good.

I read  that Adenomyosis caused the monthly cycles getting shorter months by month. I’ve gone from 25/26 days cycle 5 years ago to 22/23 days cycle this year. It freaks me out 😭 I read that some people managed to lengthen their monthly cycle to 28-30 days and relieve the Adenomyosis symptoms by eating clean/ follow endo diet and do yoga/walk/exercise regularly. I want to be one of those women. It’s a lot of work, I know… And I’m still struggling… I haven’t done yoga in a month now, and I haven’t take a walk exercise in 7 days. Since I came back to China, I avoided to walk outside because it’s too cold for me. I’m from Indonesia, it’s always warm all year there. I often get sudden cramps in a cold temperature. It’s hard for me, really it’s hard… 😞
